Little Boy Soldiers

Little Boy Soldiers is a song written by Paul Weller in 1979, produced by Vic Coppersmith-Heaven and performed by The Jam.
The song was recorded to be on the album Setting Sons, on side One.
One of the 10 songs on the album, it was one of the 9 to not become a single as it remained generally unpopular.
It is a war protest song against the United States, but mainly the British Empire (Dissolved 1997) and how they effectively see there troops as ‘expendable resources’.
Paul Weller also comments on how European countries; killed, raped and pillaged the colonies in the West Indies, Africa, India, America, Australia and other Asian Countries. And because it was in the past we don't need to be sorry'
The song also closely links to The Great War.
As well as being a political dig at Politicians, as the only time they speak to their voters is when they want their vote, showing the social distancing of the early to late mid 20th Century Britain society.
Unable to reach anywhere within the charts Top 75 the song still remains popular among The Jam fans.
