Other uses
*
* "pied" text is any written piece which has misplaced word order or extraneous letters in words that deliberarately confuse meaning, or the reader. In verse, pie-ing involves deliberately muddled or misordered lines. Pied text is sometimes used in psychlogical testing to examine a persons linguistic ability. In (serious) magic texts "pie-ing" is a form of deliberately confusing a document to keep knowledge from the uninitiated.
* As a verb, "pied" is the past tense of pieing.
* The pied is the French name for a foot as a unit of measurement, often the English foot today, see French units of measurement for the old French units. It also is the cognate for the word foot in English in the anatomical sense.
