The superhuman psyche is often forced to confront their darkside in the entertainment industry. The decision to join the opposition can be voluntary, involuntary, coercive (controlled or manipulated by an external force, without the internal conversion, including possession), deceptive (belief in working for good, but ignorant of the truth), tempted and rejected, or feigned. Although devastating to the psyche, the event can also be an essential turning point in the character's development.
