Note: William Shakespeare often appears on lists such as this, but as his birthdate is unrecorded (what is commonly given as his birthdate was extrapolated from the date of his baptism), he cannot be given a definite place on this list. Similarly, Jewish tradition records that both Moses (tractate Sotah 12b) and King David (Bechor Shor, Shabbat 30b, based on Midrash) died on their birthday according to the Hebrew calendar (7 Adar and 5 Sivan, respectively). Similarly, according to Islamic tradition Prophet Muhammad died on his birthday in the lunar Islamic calendar, 12 Rabi' al-awwal.

Why isn't George Washington Carver (1/05/1864 - 1/05/1903) on your list of people who died on their birthday?

There is one that you have forgotten to include. Her name is Astrid Zachrison. (15 May 1895-15 May 2008). She is a Swedish supercentenarian, she lived to 113. And she is the oldest ever to decease on their birthday. This isn't a question, lol :P.

Only 7 in 10000000000 people die on their birthdays.
The rest die near to their birthday and most of the people die long before or long after their birthdays in a year.

Prophet Muhammad didn't die on his birthday even by Islamic Year. His deathday was a Monday and his Id-ul-zuha speech of that year was on a Friday. The day of Milad-e-nabi and Id-ul-zuha will be on same day or a day before or after. After 3 months, he died and it had no 12th as a Monday.

To number 8: You are crazy, boy. You have no idea of statistics. If you are born on a given day, the possibility to die on any day of the year is 1 in 365, including the day you were born. That is, the chances to die on your birthday is also 1 in 365, i.e. about 0.03%. Best regards and a happy life.

The 1 in 365 is assuming that births and deaths are equally distributed across the year. I suspect that the statistic is lower due to higher birth rates in the summer, and higher death rates in the winter.

1 in 366 people (.27%) don't die on their birthday. (1/365.25) x (1/365.25) do which is .0007%
