Main characters
Ishaan
15 year old Ishaan is the life of every place he is ever in. Even when he's not, all kids seem to do is talk about him! Despite being a legendary prankster. He is popular amongst teachers and students alike. His charm always manages to get him out of trouble. He can excel in anything if he puts his mind to it. But he never has till realizes that Yaari and Music is where he truly belongs to.
Shyla
Not your typical girl, Shyla is more of a tomboy and a rebel who doesn't mince words. She is quick witted and sharp. Daughter of the school's sports coach, she is constantly trying to juggle her father's ambition of her being a tennis pro with her dream of being in the band and finally, thanks to Ishaan, she manages both beautifully.
Ron
Ron is another world for fun. The most outgoing person in the gang, Ron is the life of the band. His colorful dressing sense comes from his colorful joint family. Ron's biggest weakness is food. He loves to eat and dislikes sharing his food with anyone. In fact, He is so obsessed about food that he has to say something about food in almost every sentence.
Pulkit
Pulkit is a rich and lonely guy. He does not make friends easily. But once you have earned his respect, he will do anything for you. Kabir has been his closest friend since childhood. He finds an unlikely match with Mun Mun. The two of them share a love hate relationship initially, but later becomes really close friends.
Mun Mun
Loud and colorful, Mun Mun almost crash lands into the rest of the band's lives. Making it impossible for them to ignore her. MunMun has the ability of seeing the bigger picture, Even as all the others are caught in small issues. She is also clueless when it comes to directions and doesn't know her left from her right. This often leads to comical situations, as she tends to get lost, even in the most familiar places.
Kabir
Kabir is the lead singer of Gulmohar High's Band, Super Trouper, rich and spoilt, he cannot play fair. He keeps finding ways and means to make Ishaan look stupid or teases Mandy. He attributes the band's success to his singing and thinks he has a big fan following.
In season 2, Kabir is now friendly and helpful to Ishaan.
Recurring characters
Bubbles
Bubbles was the one who was Mun Mun's Science Partner before Ishaan. He is also a good friends of Ishaan. He dances very well. He wears spectacles, and is a student in Gulmohar High School.
Sunny
Sunny is a student at Gulmohar High School. He is Shyla's earlier science partner, Shyla chose him because the teacher said to Shyla to choose Ishaan as her partner. Sunny and Shyla win first prize for the science project even though Sunny is not very smart. Seeing Sunny struggle, Ishaan helps him and shows him what to do. Sunny then becomes one of Ishaan's first friends in Gulmohar High. He is also a good friend of Bubbles, which is ironic considering their contrasting personalities.
Himani
She is one of Ishaan's foe's and the show's main antagonist, she is Kabir's friend and always helps Kabir on his plans to make Ishaan look stupid. She has 3 friends who always counts on her, She is a Gulmohar High School Student. She is also a foe to Mun Mun.
Sara , Iara and Tara
They first tried to tease Ishaan, but later became friends with him.They are Himali's three best friends. They are students in Gulmohar High School.
Twinkle
Is one of Pulkit's friend. Pulkit secretly loves her. In season 1, Pulkit gave Dumbo to her. She is also the granddaughter of a teacher in Gulmohar High.
Parents
Ishaan's mother
She is a kind and pretty lady. She loves Ishaan, and she is also a widowed lady. She sings nicely, and never makes Ishaan unhappy. Once when Ishaan was in Sacred Hearts, she was tensed about paying the fees of Ishaan's school. Later she put Ishaan to a new high school named Gulmohar High School. Later, she lost her job, but managed to get another.
Shyla's father
He is the sports coach in Gulmohar High School. He is strict, and once he told Shyla to quit the band, but later when Shyla gives the idea of her timetable,he agrees.
Kabir's father
He is quite rich, and loves his spoilt son Kabir, he talked to the principal of Gulmohar that Kabir is going for higher studies to Canada.
Teachers
Principal of Gulmohar High School
He is quite old, he is the one who put Ishaan to the leadership of the band Super Troupers.
Class Sir
He is the band's class teacher. He teaches the band Science and other subjects too. He is the one who told Shyla to take Ishaan as her science partner.
He also made a guest appearance in Sony's C.I.D
Strict Music Teacher
She is the teacher who makes the band practice. She is very strict, and scolds anyone who is late even a minute.
Mrs. Gonsalves or Mrs. G
She is a very forgetful person. What she teaches in school is not very clear
Episode based people
Nakul Sachdev
He is an agent for aspiring musicians. He also helped Ishaan's father to make a debut in music. He even offers to be Ishaan's mentor but Ishaan refuses, since it means betraying his friends.He is named after Nakul Sachdev , who plays Kabir.
