This article features a list of the factions in the Total War series of strategy games by Creative Assembly.
Note: The rebels (grey) are a recurring feature in every Total War game and are supposed to be completely unplayable. They are not the same as the Rebels of the Eastern / Western Roman Empires, factions which can appear in the game Rome: Total War: Barbarian Invasion, which are factions with their own style. Also, unplayable factions are often made playable by player created mods.
