United States counter-terrorism officials acquired a list of 324 Arabic names captured during a raid on a suspected safe house in Karachi. Several dozen Guantanamo captives faced the allegation that their name, or alias, was present on this list. The list was always described as a list, in Arabic of 324 names, aliases, and nationalities. Some descriptions further stated that it was the captive's passport, or personal belongings, that was identified on the list. Some descriptions used the phrase "list of 324 suspected al Qaida members" in place of the phrase "list of 324 Arabic names". The list was one of several suspicious lists that captives faced during their Combatant Status Review Tribunals or Administrative Review Board hearings.
