Lisa Couturier is an American poet, writer, and animal advocate. Lisa was born in New Jersey, but she grew up in Maryland. She graduated with a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland in 1985. She also earned a certificate in Women's Studies. Lisa also earned another Master's degree at the Gallatin School at New York University. She lives on an agricultural reserve with her husband, children, and six horses.
