Linus Idahosa (born 25 August 1978) is a Nigerian Entrepreneur and a major player in Africa’s creative and entertainment industry. He is the Chairman, Founder and CEO of Del-York Group; the parent company of Del-York International and Del-York Creative Academy. Education Idahosa studied Philosophy and Public Diplomacy at the University of Benin. Career Linus Idahosa’s early career traversed many segments of the media & marketing communications industry across a number of different enterprises and sectors, eventually culminating in an engagement as a consultant with the Cable News Network (CNN) on the Inside Africa project. By 2007, he had founded Del-York International, a media, public relations, and marketing communications creative agency, servicing clients within Nigeria and across the African continent. The Del-York Creative Academy (DCA), was founded 3 years later, in 2010 as a capacity-building institution for all aspects of the film and media industry. Its inaugural program saw it partner with the New York Film Academy where it flew in lecturers from New York and Los Angeles to deliver different training modules across different areas of specializations to aspiring filmmakers from across the African continent. Well into its twelfth year, the Del-York Creative Academy has expanded its programs and capacity to include partnerships with several local and state governments across Nigeria, their inaugural program being a major capacity building initiative with the Lagos State Government for a program known as “Creative Lagos”, a program to train and empower 1,000 young people from across the local governments in the state. In 2021, Del York International Group in partnership with the Lagos State Government contracted the renowned movie studio and theme park infrastructure company Storyland Studios, to build a Film City in Lagos, Nigeria Honors and awards He holds two honorary doctorate degrees; one from London Graduate School and another from University of Belize. Personal life Linus Idahosa married actress Stephanie Okereke in 2012.
