The founder and director, Mardie Caldwell, is a certified open adoption practitioner and is bonded and fully insured as an adoption facilitator. Lifetime Adoption is registered with the State of California under the provisions of the Registry of California Adoption Facilitators. With the assistance of the Internet, Lifetime Adoption is able to provide adoption services to prospective adoptive families and birthparents from all over the nation. On average, Lifetime Adoption receives 300 phone calls daily and are available for emergencies 24-hours a day. Over the years, Lifetime Adoption has become known for their caring and genuine concern for the birthmothers' well-being, before and after adoption. All clients are carefully screened for their suitability in the adoption programs. History of Lifetime Adoption Since 1986, Mardie Caldwell has been dedicated to bringing couples and birth parents together in order to fulfill their dreams. According to her book Adoption: Your Step-by-Step Guide, Caldwell states I decided to devote my life to bringing birth mothers and adoptive parents together and, in 1986, I founded an adoption organization, later incorporated as the Lifetime Adoption Center. Using what I had learned through personal experience, and as I facilitated one adoption after another, I developed plans and methods for open adoption, which increased the likelihood of success.
