Lhouraii Onawah Li

Lhouraii Onawah Li, also known as LadyLi, is a British blogger and TV personality who was inspired by Japanese gyaru. She is also the creator of the 'Gaijin Gyaru Awards'.

Snog Marry Avoid is a British reality television show broadcast on BBC Three, produced by Remarkable Television. The show focuses mainly on transforming 'fakery obsessed' or 'slap addicts' in Britain into natural beauties by stripping them of their skimpy clothes and layers of make-up and giving them a make-under instead of a make-over with the help of POD - the Personal Overhaul Device. Lhouraii is notable for being the first contestant on the show that didn't dress 'skimpy'.
She featured in Series 3 Episode 7. In the 'catch-up' section of the show it was revealed that Lhouraii never kept her 'makeunder'.
Britains Got Talent
Lhouraii was a contestant on Britains Got Talent in 2010 on her birthday. Her performance shocked the audience when she took to the stage wearing an unusual 5-sided mask. After her performance, Simon Cowell apologised to her for making preconceptions of her based on her attire. She received a standing ovation from the judges and audience. She was presented with a birthday cake from Ant and Dec and serenaded by the audience singing 'Happy Birthday' to her.
Lhouraii was booted from the competition in the 1/4 finals due to failure of the show to clear the copyright of her extravagant music choices. However, Lhouraii was held as a reserve until the end of the show.
Acces Direct
Acces Direct is a Romanian talk show on Antena 1, which is the top tv station of Romania. Lhouraii was a guest on the show, she was featured as a 'real life doll' or 'Human Barbie'. Lhouraii was filmed walking through the streets on Bucharest in her extravagant makeup, clothing and nails. The Romanian public were initially shocked at how Lhouraii was unaffected by the insults she received.
Un Show Pacatos
Un Show Pacatos is a late night talk show on Romania's main channel Antena 1. Lhouraii appeared on this show to talk about her extreme 'barbie' style. However, there was a communication fault with her earpiece and one of the presenters had to speak to her in broken English. After her awkward interview, she was sent to give a 'barbie' makeover to a reporter.
BBC Blast
Lhouraii is known by dancers for her creation of a '5-sided mask'. She was featured in many BBC productions and toured around the UK to dance at events. One of these events was BBC Blast in 2008, which focuses on young talent in the UK.
Shop
Lhouraii opened up an online shop to sell her Gyaru nails. She said the idea came to her because many of her fans would offer her money to make them a set of glamorous nails. Although she was initially offered a lot of money per set, she came to the decision of selling them cheap, not making much profit from them. There has been speculation on why she would sell the nails so cheap. However, Lhouraii suggests it's because she wants to make her fans happy and she knows the feeling of not being able to afford nice things, therefore, sympathising with others in similar situations.

Lhouraii once stated that she is a follower of Hinduism. She stated that the reason she didn't want anyone to know about her faith was:

Vegetarianism
Lhouraii Li is a strict vegetarian. The decision to become vegetarian came to her when she was in her early teens.
"A life time of vegetarianism and extreme kindness to animals will never make up for the few years I spent as a meat eater. I believe all humans should be raised vegetarian and then have the chance to make a conscious decision to put dead animals in their bodies. Not the other way around.
