Leiki is a software company that provides patented software technology that automatically targets advertising and recommends content. It is based on detailed automatic content analysis and real-time learning of the user's preferences. Leiki's customers include publishers, retailers and advertising companies in Europe and US. Products Leiki Focus Leiki Focus is designed to automatically target advertising and recommend content based on contextual and behavioural relevancy. The product analyses content topics using a detailed ontology and follows the user's browsing history to update a real-time individual interest profile This enables new methods of more interesting advertising (leading to higher cost per impression and click-through rate) and discovery of relevant content from a publisher's archive and services that the user is not yet aware of. Leiki Focus usually integrates content by screen scraping, but also supports various formats such as RSS or XML. Supported advertisements can be text ads, rich media ads, Javascript tags from third party ad servers or synchronized combo ads that display a targeted ad simultaneously on multiple ad slots. Leiki Focus includes a platform for dynamic creatives called SmartBanners, which select the most relevant product or message to be shown based on page context or user interests. Content recommendations are usually shown through a configurable widget platform or via HTTP REST / JSON API. History and technology Leiki was founded in June 2000 in Helsinki, Finland. Leiki is a pioneer in the Semantic Web -technologies and have been developing an extensive standards-based ontology and a reasoning engine which is the foundation of the company’s content and user profiling technology.
