Legitimist line of succession to the English and Scottish thrones in 1714

The following is the Legitimist line of succession to the English and Scottish thrones in 1714 on the death of Anne of Great Britain on 1 August 1714. This list is in contrast to the statutes for succession established in the Act of Settlement 1701 removing Catholics from the succession and thereby is considered a Jacobite succession to the English and Scottish thrones. The line of succession follows all the laws current to England and Scotland as of 1701 when the succession was altered (see Line of succession to the English throne in 1701).

The following line is a numerical line of succession beginning with James the Old Pretender and ending with Wilhelmine of Bayreuth, daughter of the king of Prussia. The first 58 candidates to the legitimist throne are Catholics and as such were barred from the 1714 succession. The following list includes ancestral lineages to their Stuart ancestor with the surviving succession numbered in order of male-preference primogeniture.
