Lee Chuan Food Industry Sdn. Bhd. (Lee Chuan) is a Halal certified company, a Malaysian manufacturer of fish and dried seafood products / snacks mainly Satay Fish, Crispy CuttleFish and Prawn crackers. Lee Chuan was founded in early 1960s as a family business initially involved in fishing line and seafood trading. They were one of first fish and seafood traders in Pangkor Island, Perak. In the mid 60s, the company expanded through addition of manufacturing marine life products. The Company has built its reputation through the manufacture and sale of fish and dried seafood snacks under the well known brand names of HIBISCUS, SATAY FISH and SATAY KING. Today their products are widely distributed throughout Malaysia, in over 1,000 retail stores as well as being exported to countries such as USA, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand. Manufacturing Lee Chuan runs one of the most extensive fish and seafood manufacturing operations in Malaysia. Lee Chuan opened its first manufacturing facility in Pangkor Island in the mid 60s. The Company opened a second plant in Sungai Rumput, Perak in late 1970. The upsurge of production had led to the decision to move all manufacturing, including the Head Office, from Pangkor Island and Kampung Sungai Rumput to the site at Sri Manjung, Perak in 1997. Currently located at Sri Manjung, Perak, 10 minutes away from Sitiawan town and in close proximity to Lumut Port, the new location is to improve the company’s logistics dramatically. In Feb 2009, Lee Chuan launched their largest factory outlet in Sitiawan having a ‘see-thru’ kitchen allowing customers to view staffs at work. Products Range Lee Chuan’s main product lines, Satay Fish, Crispy CuttleFish, Fish Crackers and Prawn crackers are amongst the famous local delicacies in Pangkor Island and Lumut Town, Perak. The Company has over 100 products and many of them are tailored and exclusive to their OEM customers. Today Lee Chuan’s products are widely distributed throughout Malaysia and are notably sold in Lumut Town and Pangkor Island.
