Lead News

Lead News is a British news and marketing website founded by Dean Seddon and Jonathan Hulton. The site produces a mix of content covering categories such as travel, money, health, work, business and motoring. The site mixes news articles, tips and sponsored stories from advertisers.
The Lead News website domain name was acquired on 1 October 2015. The first article published highlighted the story of Ted Williams, the voice over artist, who rose to fame as a result of a media interview whilst he was homeless.
Lead News first month saw one of its articles receive over 11,000 views and over 2100 shares on social media. The website reported service outages as a result of the sudden surge in visitors so early in their development.
Founders
The news site was founded by Dean Seddon and Jonathan Hulton, former executives of religious Christian broadcaster GOD TV.
In 2012 the pair also developed the marketing and ticket sales campaign for National Day of Prayer at Wembley Stadium which was supported by London Mayor Boris Johnson. Hulton and Seddon famously challenged the chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland group on live television during the run up to their event when they could not process ticket sales as a result of RBS's online banking problems. After 8 weeks of marketing and campaigning on 29 September, the National Day of Prayer event was held with over 32,000 people in attendance.
