LC Singh

LC Singh (born 30 December 1948) is an entrepreneur, a movie producer, and a photographer. He is an alumnus of the and the Harvard Business School. He founded Nihilent Technologies in 2000. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, in charge of operations for UK, South Africa, and the Middle East for Tata Consultancy Services. He also worked with Zensar Technologies as President and CEO. He is also a Fellow of The Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI) and Computer Society of India (CSI). He scripted and produced the movie Banaras - A Mystic Love Story.
Early life and education
Singh was born (December 30, 1948) in Bhatauli, Uttar Pradesh, India and after completing his primary education went on to complete his (B.E.) from . Singh completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
Career
After graduating from the , Varanasi, Singh joined The State Bank of India. He had a brief stint as a Consultant with Ministry of Finance, Tehran before joining Tata Consultancy Services. He joined TCS in 1981 as a consultant and went on to head UK, South Africa and Middle East operations. He managed product initiatives of the company and was also the custodian of the TCS brand worldwide. In 1996, Singh was promoted as Senior Vice President. At TCS, he is credited with the move towards the development of software products and introducing the concept of a shrink-wrapped/packaged software product in the Indian market.
After moving on from TCS, he joined Zensar Technologies as President and CEO in 1998. He founded Nihilent Technologies in 2000 and to provide consulting and IT needs of enterprises in the emerging markets of Africa, Middle East and India. He guided Nihilent towards making it ISO 9001-2000 compliant and assessed at SEI CMMI® Level 5.
Singh is the author of the change management structure MC3, a patented framework for change management, performance management and strategy execution and CLE, a patented framework of customer loyalty evaluation.
In a book titled Knowledge Management: Value Creation Through Organizational Learning, the authors Klaus North and Gita Kumta (Published by Springer) have explained in detail about MC3.
Singh wrote and produced the film Banaras - A Mystic Love Story in 2006. He also launched Tumbhi, an online artist discovery platform and artOreal.
