Lawyer 2B is a British magazine aimed at students studying law at university. It is published four times a year (Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer) to coincide with term dates. Founded in 2004 it is published by Centaur Media plc and is the sister title to The Lawyer and TheLawyer.com.
Lawyer 2B aims to provide advice, views and analysis on all the major choices faced by UK legal students: which courses to study, which legal specialisation to study, coping with study/financial pressures and step-by-step guides to applying for training contracts, pupillages and other law-related jobs such as paralegalling.
It also covers important news and developments in the legal sector along with regional information for those students who wish to study and work outside of London.
Non-law students can also read it for information on if/how to switch to studying law after they have finished their current university course.
Lawyer2B.com was launched in May 2007 to run alongside the magazine and provide a way of communicating news, features and careers advice on a more frequent basis.
Both the magazine and the website are free resources to students, careers departments and law faculties.
Magazine Layout The magazine is laid out as follows: * News * Leader (Editor’s comment) * Analysis * City Reports * Features * The Law-Anatomy of a case * Careers section * Regional reports * Agony aunt page * Diary
