Lawrence Fordyce (also known as FORD) is an American remixer, producer and writer of commercial Trance and Breaks music. He has spent over fifteen years in the music production business and had more than 150 releases for writing and production to his credit (including 38 Billboard Hits) with credits on records selling over 12 million copies worldwide. FORD has worked for labels including Sony BMG, Atlantic, Bad Boy, EMI, Def Jam, Epic, Jive, Warner Bros., Universal, and La Face. Since 2003, FORD has earned 19 Multi-Platinum, Platinum, and Gold RIAA sales awards for mixing and producing artists including Michael Jackson, Ludacris, Rob Thomas, Ciara, Madonna,Natasha Bedingfield, Missy Elliott, Britney Spears, Sean Combs, Lil' Kim, Jennifer Lopez Brandy Mandy Moore, Gym Class Heroes, Jewel, Craig David, Paul Oakenfold, Sugar Ray, Ryan Cabrera, and Mick Jagger. With 4 remixes reaching #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts, and being hailed as America’s "Most Added Remixer" by Billboard. Ford was based in Miami and Tampa, Florida but moved to the Atlanta area to develop "E-Hop" (Electronic- Hip Hop) a new style that combines hip hop with trance and breaks. Ford chose Atlanta after forming a relationship with Hip-Hop musician Ludacris and his label DTP. Ford has completed two remixes for Ludacris so far, "Stand Up" and "Splash Waterfalls". He is known for his original productions, Robin Fox's "I See Stars" (peaked at 17 on Billboard), and her next single "It's Gonna Be Okay", Terra Skye's "Is This Love", and Kassi's "Threw It All Away"(top 20 billboard). His new single, "Pure Imagination" went to No. 1 in November and has been the most requested song in XM's BPM Radio history... Ford has done remixes with techno DJs Paul Oakenfold (“Starry Eyed Surprise”) and ("I'm Gladd") and George Acosta (Fabulous "Baby" Konductor Mix). Current Projects FORD is currently working on the new album for New York socialite Ivan Wilzig aka "Sir Ivan". He previously produced Sir Ivan's "For What Its Worth". He has also done a dance remix for Nate Butler's new single "Booty and a Blenda".
