She earned her B.A. degree at Wheaton College, her Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary, and holds two earned Doctorates of Ministry degrees, which she earned at Columbia Theological Seminary and the Florida Center for Theological Studies. She served as the Moderator of the Presbytery of Tropical Florida in 2003.
In addition to serving as parish minister, she is on the faculty of the Florida Center for Theological Studies, and serves as a member of the National Response Team for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, a position she has held since 1995.
