Laurence de Valmy

Laurence de Valmy (born 1974) is a French artist and blogger. Her work has appeared in Forbes, Bunte Magazine, France-Amérique, Wall Street International Blanc Magazine, Miami Artzine, The Creative Chronicle, Poets and Artists among other publications and on Art District Radio.
Education
She studied art in France in private studios and in the US at the University of Michigan (in 2003). At first, she pursued a career in business in parallel of her artwork and has been a full-time artist since 2015. Her series is appropriation art and can be labeled as conceptual art or pop art.
In 2017, she was awarded an Artist residency by the Eileen Kaminski Foundation at Mana Contemporary, Jersey City, NJ for her work on the POST series, which depicts fictional Instagram Posts of the past of famous artists. she was spotted by art critic Paul Laster and art dealer Renee Riccardo during the residency, which led to her first participation at Miami Art Basel week in SCOPE Art fair, in December.
Her artwork has been shown in solo or group exhibitions as well as in museums Barnes Foundation) and art fairs
Her paintings were included in the BUNTE Art exhibition at the Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art in Munich.
Her work is included in the ESKFF permanent collection, the Hubert Burda Media Collection,
Laurence de Valmy currently lives and works in Philadelphia (PA), USA.
