Laura Mattiazzi is a Melbourne-based Chinese banker who is the Head of Asia Business Development for the National Australia Bank Agribusiness Asia Desk. Early life and education Mattiazzi was born and raised in Mainland China. She also began her tertiary education there and completed her Postgraduate degree in Finance and Economics at RMIT University in Melbourne. Career Mattiazzi has over 20 years of banking experience across Asia and Australia. Her banking career started with Bank of China, China and Dao Heng Bank (now DBS) in Hong Kong. In 1999, she joined the National Australia Bank working in the Business Banking division in Melbourne as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Asian Business Banking Centre. In 2014, she moved to the NAB Agribusiness Asia Desk where she provides assistance to clients connecting and trading with Asia, as well as on boarding inbound investors into the agribusiness sector. In April 2017, she hosted a roundtable discussion at the Global Food Forum addressing the challenges and opportunities facing cropping industries - and how Australian businesses can compete globally.
