LaunchDon

LaunchDon is a music industry think tank serving new and unsigned artists in the music industry.
LaunchDon's blog and podcast series showcases new artists, critiques new music and features interviews with experts and established musical acts who give out advise on music production, management, promotion and how to make it in the music industry.
Based in Houston, TX, LaunchDon broke ground in July 2016 and was quickly featured on prominent hip hop online magazines such as HipHopDX and VladTV.com.
Product Announcement
On January 23, 2017, the group announced the debut of it's first product, the music industry's first "career guidance platform".
The LaunchDon.com platform fields questions from all members of the unsigned music community - artists, DJ’s, sound engineers, producers or management - and provides custom-tailored feedback based off of industry best practices.
By examining user’s body of work, geographic location and social media presence, among other variables, LaunchDon.com serves as the world’s first and only digital resource to provide customized, context-rich career guidance.
Music Industry Involvement
LaunchDon was a title sponsor of the second annual Houston Celebrity Basketball Game. The game featured hiphop superstar <nowiki/>s OVO All-Stars vs. J.Prince's Rap-A-Lot All-Stars.
In addition to Drake and J. Prince, the event was also attended by prominent celebrities in the Houston music scene including Kirko Bangz and DJ XO, as well as former NBA players Rashard Lewis and T.J. Ford. Simone Manuel, the first African-American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming, was also in attendance.
