Launch Bendigo

Launch Bendigo is a visual arts and live music showcase held in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. The event is designed to be a launching pad for creatives from the Bendigo region. It brings the experience of an art exhibition and couples it with elements of the live music scene to provide an event unlike any currently existing in Bendigo. Couches are brought into the venue to create a comfortable lounge environment. The event runs alongside a temporary bar and complimentary finger food is supplied free of charge. The event is one-night-only and is generally held quarterly at different venues in Bendigo's View Street Arts Precinct including the Old Fire Station and Dudley House. Occasionally a separate event is held to showcase artworks of a particular type (eg. adults only artworks). The exhibitions have become a popular platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents in an appreciative environment. History The Launch Bendigo event was first held as a promotional launching event for the Bendigo Events Guide created by Cultress on August 4, 2007. The event was such a success that a small group formed to eventually create the Launch Bendigo arts showcase.
