Latin dancehall

Latin dancehall is a style of that is originated in Puerto Rico. The genre is a subgenre of Dancehall and takes influence from reggaeton and occasionally Latin trap and R&B. The genre's popularity began with "La Modelo" and has since spread throughout Latin America.
History
2018-present
After "La Modelo" by Ozuna released reaching No. 3 in Billboard Hot Latin Songs, it became popular and identified as its own subgenre Latin dancehall. Now it's continuing with songs for example "Te Bote", "X" and other songs. On late 2018, Bad Bunny and Drake released "Mia" which peaked at No. 1 in Billboard Hot Latin Songs and No. 5 in Billboard Hot 100 and 6ix9ine and Anuel AA released "Bebe" which peaked which peaked at No. 1 in Billboard Hot Latin Songs and No. 30 in Billboard Hot 100.
