LandFort is a free-to-play Puzzle game released on Android devices by Matasoft. It has a gameplay similar to Angry Birds with the addition of RPG elements. It is considered to be Matasoft's first video game and was released Plot The Demon Lord Devenoth and his minions have attacked a peaceful kingdom. Players assume control of a hero, who's goal is to destroy enemy fortresses, recruit the remaining knights that managed to escape slaugher and eventually kill Lord Devenoth. Gameplay LandFort's physics game engine uses mechanics similar to Angry Birds. Players control a hero who shoots with his crossbow. When players die, they can spend their points earned to raise their four attributes: Strength, Armor, Intellect and Tactics. They can also gain new abilities like more powerful shots or multiple shots. After a while, players are able to recruit friendly soldiers (A.I. controlled) to help them in battle. The game also features in-app purchases for increasing attributes and abilities quicker, without having to battle. There are no exclusive items via microtransactions, everything can be unlocked by playing.
