Lamento -Beyond the Void-

Lamento -Beyond the Void- is an 18+ Hentai Game for the PC and created/distributed by Nitro+Chiral. It has only been released in Japan. The story takes place in a fictional world inhabited by Ribika (who look like humans but have cat ears and tails). Their world has fallen into dark times. A mysterious void has made some places (and even animals) impossible to touch, causing major food shortages. A strange and deadly disease is also spreading. The hero, Konoe (who you guide through the game), exists in this miserable world, living alone in the starving village of Karou. The story begins with Konoe in Karou, where he suddenly begins to see horrible dreams.
Setting
Sisa & Ribika
The majority is covered in forest; the ruins of a perished civilization, nature, demons, an illusions coexist on Sisa. Playing a central role in the country is Ransen. Konoe's hometown is Karou, which is a small village located on the south-west tip. A cursed tribe lives hidden in Kira which is located in the Valley of Yuukoku. The cat race, Ribika, live within these many towns and villages spread around Sisa.
The 'Void' and 'Shikku' Enigma
Ribika do not always live peacefully on Sisa. There is an unknown illness that has begun to plague the Ribika known as Shikku where part of the body vanishes. Also the world started to get attacked by a mysterious phenomena called the 'Void', which they are unable to touch. The Ribika now hear the footsteps of death getting closer every day and live in fear. There is no means of knowing the true cause.
Konoe's Curse & the 4 Devils
One day, in the city of Karou where Konoe lives, his appearance changed. A black birthmark design appeared on his body and his tail and ears were dyed black. These ancient ominous symbols are proof of a legendary curse. The marks of this curse resemble the coat of arms of the 4 devils--!
Ransen
Is Sisa's largest town. The lord of this town is also in effect, the countries ruler. The town is made up of the ruins of modern buildings. Inside these ruins are where the cat race lives. Fundamentally, the cats survive by primitive means; only in Ransen can you experience the original atmosphere of the different foreign cultures. Therefore, when going to this area, a cats means of living becomes primitive.
Karou
Located in the south-west corner of Sisa, it's a tribe that made a small community. They are made up of a few people who together form battle units. These children are raised at a very young age to use battle techniques.
Kira
To avoid the public eye, these cats reside hidden in the Valley of Yuukoku. The other areas have an unpleasant view towards them and call them a "cursed tribe". Like people from Karou, they are skilled in battle. The houses in which they dwell in are high above the ground.
Sanga
In regards to battling, those that use poetry. Poets and songs occupy an extremely important place in this world. A Sanga has this precious ability. They sing in various ways and during battle provide combat support for the Touga.
Touga
In regards to battling, those that use hand combat. In general cats who fight are called this. Although one can battle alone, when they are supported by a Sanga, the leap in power is overwhelming.
Characters
Protagonists
Konoe
The main character. As the Void continues its encroachment, he leaves the village of Karou to go alone on a journey. He's not very talkative and he hates to lose. When he talks, he looks his age.
Rai
He wears a patch over one of his eyes and is a silver-haired cat. He is a bounty hunter who carries two swords. His attitude is calm, but arrogant. To himself and to others he is strict.
Asato
Along Konoe's journey, he meets this black-haired cat. He is a warrior who lives outside of the publics view in Kira. He is awkward and bad with social interaction.
Bardo
His tail is striped gold and black and he has round ears. He is the owner of an Inn in Ransen. He lives half-heartedly at his own pace.
A Poet
Wandering around to various places, this cat loves to sing. It only weaves a melody and does not accompany it with any words. They are mysterious.
Kagari
A strong-willed cat from Kira that has a dominating but generous personality. She watches over Asato like that of family.
Tokino
He is a cat from Ransen that comes to Karou to sell items. He is carefree and cheerful. He has a good relationship with Konoe and helps people all the time.
Antagonists
Firi
Always sarcastic to Konoe and others and thinks everyone is below him. He has no ears or tails like a Ribika; his existence in Sisa seems foreign, and is also different from a demon.
Kil & Ul
Twin cats. Their aim is Konoe. Kil is battling as Touga. Ul plays the role of Sanga supporting him with terrible singing technique.
Razel (Rasel)
"Devil of Wrath". Their appearance however does not reflect this and is instead quiet and calm. Their existance in Sisa is foreign.
Karutsu (Kaltz)
"Devil of Grief". Not very talkative, and their facial expression shows that of sorrow. Avoids concerning themselves with anyone and prefers to be alone. Their existance in Sisa is foreign.
Verugu (Verg)
"Devil of Pleasure". Their temperament is that of a wild horse and is a contrary person. Their nature is bad and very moody; as well, their view towards Ribika is condescending. Their existance in Sisa is foreign.
Furaudo (Froud)
"Devil of Joy". Is always laughing and shows a friendly and gentle appearance. Others can never pick up on its thoughts and find it ominous. Their existance in Sisa is foreign.
Leaks
A cat who has a showy appearance; he hides his face with a mask. Currently, everything about him is shrouded in mystery.
