Kyrgyzstan–Spain relations

Kyrgyzstan-Spain relations are the bilateral and diplomatic relations between these two countries. Kyrgyzstan has no embassy in Spain or consulates Spain does not have an embassy in Kyrgyzstan but the embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan is headed for Kyrgyzstan.
Diplomatic relations
Relations between Spain and the Kyrgyz Republic are still poorly developed. In fact, the Kyrgyz Republic has no embassy accredited to the Spanish authorities. From February 2002, with an interruption between June 2003 and August 2004, and until October 2009, Spain had a detachment of around 50 soldiers at the Manas air base, with the aim of providing support to the Spanish troops present in Afghanistan.
Following the denunciation by the Kyrgyz Republic of the agreement by which Spain used the base of Manas, the desire to renew the contractual framework that allows the presence of civil and military personnel in the current denomination was transmitted to the Kyrgyz Republic "Transit Center" of Manas, without receiving any response, so it was necessary to move the device for logistical support to Spanish troops in Afghan territory to Tajikistan.
The political and legislative uncertainty of the Kyrgyz Republic has in these years put a brake on Spanish and international investors. Given the country's lack of development, attracting foreign investment is one of the priorities of Kyrgyz economic policy.<ref name=eco />
