Kurdistan is the land of the Kurds. The Kurds number at around 40 million divided among 5 countries, including, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey and Armenia. Turkey The Turkish there have been reports of violations of human rights. The Kurdish ethnic minority have suffered in a number of ways including in the past the ability to right of speak kurdish. . The Turkish government has in the past genocides, murders and ethnic-cleansings against the Kurds. Iran The Kurds are have suffered as result of state persecution, discrimination, imprisonment, deprivations and executions. Syria There have been reports of the Kurdish population in Syria having their political rights denied. Iraq Iraq has one of the the only liberated areas for greater Kurdistan. Even though Iraqi Kurdistan has come under aerial strikes and as a result of battles between Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers' Party . Kurdish Poplulation *Turkey 15-20 million Kurds in Turkey. Constituting 20% of the population. *Iran 10 million Kurds live in Iran. *Iraq 7-8 million Kurds live in Iraq. *Syria 10% of Syria are currently Kurdish.
