Kunena is an Internet forum package written in the PHP scripting language. The name "Kunena" is translated from Swahili meaning "to speak." Kunena is free software available under the GNU General Public License, Kunena is free software. Kunena is a component for the Joomla content management system, which is required to run it. History Kunena arose out of a fork of the former Fireboard forum with a new team and some of the previous developers, including several Joomla core developers... The first stable version was released in February 17, 2009, version 1.0.8. Features As a component to Joomla, Kunena integrates into the framework of Joomla, including user management, registration, login/logout, menus, and modules. Using the Joomla administration back end, administrators can set up a number of forum categories and sub categories, public and private access, and moderation. File and image uploads, automatic coding of auction items and video links, BBCode, templates, and integration with Joomla components such as Community Builder, JomSocial, uddeIM.
