Kristine Caluya

Kristine Caluya is an actress, model and dancer. Originally born in Manila, Philippines she spent most of her youth in New Zealand and her later adult life in Australia and Los Angeles, California, USA.
She has studied and obtain degrees and certifications in New Zealand, Australia and London since 2001.
Her plan was to become a successful Hair and Makeup artist. When a film set banned her from hair and makeup forcing her to be a featured extra her career in the spotlight began.
She got her start in Xena Warrior Princess as a body double to Michelle Ang.
Later she auditioned many months prior in a TV show titled Shortland Street. Never receiving the part she moved to Australia to study. She received a call from her agent advising that the show wrote a character with her in mind and wanted to give her the role without auditioning. The role was for the evil character Suchin Srisai who caused many riots on the show.
She has also starred in several plays, music videos, films TV. She also worked with a few dance companies doing various shows and tours.
In 2009 she moved to Los Angeles. Since then she has worked on the Joseph Kahn film Detention as the asian Bikini Waxer, America's Court with Judge Ross as Joanna Vargas, Comedienne 'Eric Andre' for his Eric Andre Show on Cartoon Networks Adult Swim, Criminal Minds as Maria Sanchez among few others.
She has several projects in development at present in the US.
