KOT (Kenyans On Twitter)

The KOT (Kenyans On Twitter) are simply Kenyans having twitter accounts. It is sometimes known as Kenyans on Social Media. The name gained its popularity after hashtag KOTAwards trended in 2015. This was to award contributors of tweets that made people laugh or a tweet that brought a very imperative revolution that year. Up to date, the media has used the same prefixes to refer to Kenyans with twitter account.
History
The birth of KOT is 2007. The first people or as commonly referred by media, founders of KOT include Juliana Rotich and Daudi Were. Both are among the first Kenyans who joined Twitter barely a year after Twitter was launched. They joined in July 2007 and Aug 2007 respectively. Ory Okolloh Mwangi also joined Twitter the same year in December. These three are the founders of KOT (Kenyans On Twitter).

KOT Culture
KoT is known for "making know". Many have taken the accustomed path to refer to the fact that KOT likes bashing non-humanitarians, as "making know". These criticisms of KOT always send fierce messages to the world if something is wrong or has been done by a public figure or organisation especially the government. Besides this, it has helped many people clear hospital bills in millions of shillings. Many too are on look out for people or media houses trying to undermine Kenya's peace and also those trying to destroy Kenya's publicity. Take a case of Kenyans getting angry with CNN for trying to misrepresent Kenya's image in 2015.
