While investigating Chun Doo-hwan's slush funds, he found a box containing 6.1 billion won in slush funds managed by Ssangyong Chairman Kim Seok-won, but he pressed the prosecutor general not to disclose the investigation at the presidential office Blue House, and the investigation was made immediately to the Bucheon District Prosecutors' Office. As a result, he moved to Samsung in 1997.
