Kim Kristin Stetz is an American actor, yogi, meditation teacher, psychotherapist, and cannabis business owner in New York. She became a dedicated practioner and opened a yoga studio in NYC well into her teaching and study practices. When Yoga Sleuth heard a new studio opened in the East Village offering yoga for tired people, they came to investigate. In an interview by Rick Schwartz What It's Like To Be: A Yogi, Stetz says she opened her New York yoga studio Savasana Station in 2014, after practticing yoga for over 25 years. She stated Yoga practice opened her eyes to a whole way of living that she had no idea was a part of yoga. As an expert in the field, Stetz wrote for many yoga and spiritual blogs such as Mind Body Green and Elephant Journal about movement and spiritual practice. Stetz, a long time tenant in the East Village, teamed up with housing and community advocates, Cooper Square Committee, to fight for clean and safe rent stabilized housing. When gas was turned off for over three months, Stetz spearheaded the initiative by calling 7 on Your side to intervene. Progressing in her health, wellness, and advocacy career, Stetz became a CAURD (Conditional Adult Use Recreational Dispensary) licensee as a business owner in Keep It 100 LLC.
