The report, which is part of the sanofi-aventis Managed Care Digest Series®, focuses on current issues such as the impact of Medicare Part D implementation, changes to the Nursing Facility Surveyor Guidelines, and interactions between the various disciplines.
Another report Kikaku publishes is the Biologics Trend Report Sponsored By UCB, Volume 1. In this report, various industry stakeholders share their perspectives on the management and delivery of biologic treatments for Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Managed care organizations, PBMs and specialty pharmacy providers, gastroenterologists, rheumatologists, and physicians’ reimbursement specialists participated in the research. They provided feedback on how they are managing these drugs in order to provide the best clinical outcomes while also achieving cost efficiencies and what some of the issues are that they must contend with throughout the process. The report is intended to help foster a collaborative approach in achieving practical, integrated solutions to the management of biologic therapies.
Kikaku has produced the Galderma Quality Report for Dermatology & Managed Care, Vol. II. This report is one of the first resources to take a major inside look at the practice of dermatology within managed care. One will learn how and why dermatology is being managed by health care companies and what are the latest trends. The report is a national survey about current coverage, reimbursement policies, referral policies and other key issues. It provides managed care decision-makers with critical information on how managed care organizations throughout the country deal with dermatology issues such as formulary, copayment, billing and reimbursement issues.
Kikaku has worked with Teva Neuroscience and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to create The Multiple Sclerosis Trend Report: Perspectives from Managed Care, Providers, and Patients. National Multiple Sclerosis Society—in conjunction with a group of managed healthcare professionals, physicians, and academicians—researched current issues in the care of multiple sclerosis patients in order to assess trends in the management of MS. The participants in this research were managed care organizations (MCOs); neurologists; those responsible for reimbursement, billing, and coding; specialty pharmacy companies; case managers; and MS patients.
