Khamis Abdulatif Chuwal Lom is a South Sudanese military general and politician. He was appointed director general of South Sudan Radio and Television (SSRTV) via a Republican decree by President Salva Kiir in 2014. Lom resigned this appointment after four weeks in the position following a ministerial order from Makuei Lueth, the minister of information and broadcasting transferring him from the SSRTV to the ministry headquarters without a portfolio. Lom said the posting without a portfolio had rendered him useless in office. In 2014, Lom was listed among seven opposition leaders accused of plotting to topple the government of Salva Kiir. He was cleared of all charges of treason after an investigation.
