Keyboard Sathya

Keyboard Sathya is a Child aged 12 years performing Carnatic music on keyboard. He has become more popular since he won the Pogo award.



Background
He was born February 1, 1995 and stands barely taller than his instrument. His full name is K. Sathyanarayanan. Sathya is referred to as a prodigy and took an examanation for his skills at 4. He performed a music concert Carnatic on keyboard at the age of 6. He has released 6 albums, each at the age of 8, 9, 10, 1 and two at the age of 12. He is one of the youngest in the world to pass 8th grade in Trinity College, London examination on Electronic Keyboard.

Other Information
Sathya can sing. He has sung under the baton of S.A. Rajkumar, Deva, Vidyasagar, Devi Prasad and other music directors. He is also a composer. He already has one project under his belt, "Avar Parvai : Avar Punnagai", a collection of eight songs on Sri. Aurobindo and the Mother, awaiting a sponsor. Sathya has also composed a jingle, an advertisement for the Adyar Cancer Institute/

Sathya has Padmashreee Mandolin Shri U Shrinivas as his guru for Carnatic music sine February 2004. The transformation in his ability to handle the keyboard after becoming a sishya of Mandolin Shri U. Shrinivas has been tremendous and has led to the release of his second album, namely Carnatic on Keyboard Vol 2. He is said to have a natural flair for playing violin and is now getting trained on the instrument from Kalimamani Kum. A. Kanyakumari. His has singing lessons with Sangeetha Bhushanam Sri Embar S. Sadagopan, his grandfather, and Smt K. Lalitha, his mother.

In the midst of his practice, his performances and his albums, Sathya also goes to school. Sathya is presently a 7th grade student at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, K.K. Nagar, Chennai.
