Kenyu Chinen

Kenyu Chinen was born on Iejima, a small island to the west of Okinawa, on July 21, 1944.
In order to pass the traditional knowledge he had learned from his masters, Kenyu Chinen went to France in 1975. In 1976 he permanently moved to Paris.
He is 9th dan of karate and 8th dan of kobudo. He follows the teaching of Shorin-Ryu karate from Katsuya Miyahira. Miyahira is a direct disciple of .
He has followed the teaching of Kobudo from Shinpo Matayoshi.
Kenyu Chinen is the official European representative of Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do and of Kobudo Federation from Okinawa. He has created the association “OSHU KAI INTERNATIONAL” in order to group all his karate and kobudo pupils.
In August 2005 he has created the World Oshukai Federation (W.O.F) for his pupils from all around the world (Italy, India, Argentina, Spain, Ireland, Poland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, San Salvador, Canada, Hungaria, Nepal, Okinawa, Germany, Slovenia).
