Kendall Qualls

Kendall Anthony Qualls (born October 16, 1963) is an American businessman, United States Army veteran, and Republican political candidate from Minnesota. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2022 Minnesota gubernatorial election.
Qualls spent his early years living in New York’s Harlem neighborhood and in the rural Great Plains. He went to a small college in rural Oklahoma and, in addition, served in the United States Army Reserves. After graduating, he became an active duty soldier in the United States Army. During his service in the army, Qualls was responsible for tactical nuclear weapons. After leaving the military due to a knee injury in 1990, Qualls began a career in business management and sales.
Qualls lives in Medina, Minnesota and was formerly an executive at Minnesota-based healthcare company Medtronic. He was the Republican candidate for Minnesota's 3rd congressional district in the 2020 election. He lost his first bid for political office to the incumbent congressman, Dean Phillips.
