Kelly Denis

Kelly Denis (born Kimuli Kelly Dennis) is a Ugandan Gospel Artist, Instrumentalist, I.T Specialist and occasional Videographer. Beginning his career at the age of sixteen, Denis has appeared in numerous commercials, music studios, and music videos. In 2006, he began singing in the lead role of the music concert Deception.
Early life
Denis was born in Mengo, Kampala City, Ug. His mother, Ruth Nakigudde, worked as Real Estate Manager into his teens, and his father, Lwanga Francis F.X Xavier, is a bank accountant. According to Denis, his maternal grandmother is a "Ugandan, Puerto Rican and African, so I guess that would be considered African, Creole. My mother's father was Lukwago and something else. My dad's mother's a Ugandan and black, and his father was from Uganda." Denis was raised in Kampala City, Namasuba, Uganda, with his one male sibling and two in UK.
Career
Denis began singing in church at age ten. in Kampala, Denis's family lived in Mengo, Kampala to a their present house in Entebbe. Denis started music in 2004 after first accompanying a friend to a Jazz Show at Serena Hotel in Kampala where he had to present up with Jazz drumming.He thereafter met Joel, who was an upcoming Artist, and they did the first Christmas Album recording. Joel, the present by that time and Denis did a collaboration concert at Holy Gospel Church and from the concert Denis was signed as a member in 2006.
As a teenager, Denis began street performing (or busking) around Kampala Streets. In 2007 Denis with the old Destiny-1 Management (Denis, Johnson, Godfrey and Marcus) did the "Never Give Up" recording by Producer David. 2009-2010: Kelly Denis and Destiny-1
In March 2009, the rumors that the pioneers announced that they were leaving the ministry for some businesses were true, saying "while no official documents have been signed, we surrender Destiny-1 to Kelly Denis as the Rollover Managing Director and should hold the next coming Destiny-1 members by his new strategy plan.
2010-2011: Kelly Denis and Patrick ()
In April 2011, Denis was joined by Patrick, who became a strong member under the management of Kelly Denis and later Kelly Denis joined the music promotion of which he partnered with Big Tune Records, Wasted Talent Uganda, Holy Keane Amooti, Faith Records, Sseku Martin, Emperor Ciza Ug, Tango, and some other latest projects. Kelly did the promotion as he was moving on with the drumming.
2011-2012: Kelly Denis and Born Now and Oh Lord
in March 2012 he released a jazz song titled "Born Now" featuring Patrick a saxophonist and Samuel a violinist and not too far from the date in April he had got done with the Destiny-1 first official Album track titled "Ho Lord" produced by Producer David.
Personal life
Denis currently lives in Entebbe City, Wakiso District. Although he was not raised in the church, Denis is a Christian and a spiritual person, and has stated in numerous interviews that he won’t do duties that he feels might "disappoint God".
Denis was born in Kampala to Ruth Lwanga and Francis Lwanga F.X Xavier, an Accountant in UCB. He is the second last brother of two sisters and one brother Jacqueline Kivumbi a psychologist , Maureen Kivumbi a Business Lady and Xerxes Ben Nteza a student.
