Kelly Cass is a meteorologist on the Weather Channel, hosting AMHQ with Reynolds Wolf on weekends, and filling in on AMHQ during the week with Jen Carfagno, Stephanie Abrams, and Jim Cantore. Kelly Cass joined the Weather Channel in January 2000, coming from WRGB-TV in Schenectady, New York. She holds the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. She has done live interviews with guests ranging from Science Communicator and Actor Alan Alda to Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to Rolling Stones Keyboardist and Georgia Tree Farmer Chuck Leavell. She has appeared in books such as Making it In The Media and Meteorology:Cool Women Who Weather Storms . She was invited by the Navy Blue Angels to take one of their rare and once-in-a-lifetime guest flights . Her reporting on severe weather has appeared on the NBC Nightly News , and CNBC , including the deadly May 2013 tornadoes in Joplin, MO .
