Kaz Krawczak

Kaz Krawczak (1950) is a guitar designer, guitar maker and inventor. He started out building guitars as a hobby, and now specializes in crafting of unusual, experimental and innovative handmade acoustic, Acoustic-electric guitar and electric guitars.
Early life and education
Krawczak was born in Poland. His fundamental knowledge of guitar making was passed down from his father. Kaz’s father guided him in education, making sure Kaz acquired thorough knowledge of wood and metal treatment. Kaz continued furthering his education through self-instruction in the art of guitar design and construction.
Work
Krawczak build his first acoustic guitar in Poland in 1978. Shortly after, he moved to United States. In America, Kaz continued his artistic passion and he created notable experimental acoustic guitar Model 3.
In 1995 this guitar was purchased by guitar collector Scott Chinery. This guitar is shown in photo and the acoustic system is illustrated by drawing.
One of Krawczak's guitar designs is included in the book Classic Guitars, by Robert Shaw.<ref name=green />
