Kay Lee Ray

Kayleigh Ray (born August 11, 1992) is a Scottish professional wrestler better known by her ring name Kay Lee Ray. She is best known for her work on the British independent circuit, most notably competing in promotions such as Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Southside Wrestling Entertainment (SWE), and Progress Wrestling. In addition to the United Kingdom, Ray has also performed internationally, including the United States for both Shimmer Women Athletes and Shine Wrestling and Japan for World Wonder Ring Stardom. Ray was also a contestant on season 2 of TNA's British Boot Camp, making it to the final three.
Professional wrestling career
World Wonder Ring Stardom (2016-present
Ray made her debut for Japanese promotion Stardom on January 10, 2016, teaming with Kairi Hojo in a loss to Hyper Destroyers Evie and Kellie Skater. On January 17, she unsuccesfully challenged Mayu Iwatani for the High Speed Championship, and on January 24 defeated Alex Lee to end her first tour with the company. In May 2016, Ray took part in Stardom's tour of Europe, first unsuccesfully challenging Leah Owens for the RCW Women's Championship in a triple threat match also featuring Santana Garrett in Béziers, France. The next day in Barcelona, Spain, she lost to eventual winner Io Shirai in the first round of a tournament to crown the first ever SWA Undisputed World Women's Championship. The next day in London, England, she unsuccessfully challenged Shirai for the championship. She returned to Japan with the promotion in August 2016 to take part in the 5* Grand Prix tournament, competing in the A Block. In total, Ray won 5 of the 6 matches she competed in, earning nine points and tying for first place with Yoko Bito, who defeated her to advance to the final. On September 11, Ray unsuccessfully challenged Io Shirai for Shirai's World of Stardom Championship. In January 2017 she once again toured with the promotion, mostly teaming with fellow British wrestler Nixon Newell. On January 15, Ray and Newell unsuccessfully challenged Kairi Hojo and Yoko Bito for the Goddess of Stardom Championship. On January 29, she successfully defended the ICW Women's Championship against Jungle Kyona.
