Kaushal Srivastava

Kaushal K.P Srivastava is an Indian author and professor of physics.
After completing a Ph.D. in Physics from Australian National University, Srivastava started his career as a physicist at multiple leading global universities, including Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Liverpool, and Tilka Majhi Bhagalpur University.
As an author, he primarily comments on 21st century globalisation and multiculturalism, placing a focus on India and the Anglosphere. His work commonly utilises transliteration to convert the Devanagari script into Roman.
He has published and been featured in several collections of poetry in both Hindi and English, and has won numerous awards commending his writing. In 2014, a short story written by Srivastava was featured in Melbourne Subjective, a government-supported anthology of short stories written by selected Melbourne authors.
Srivastava is an active member of Melbourne's South Asian community, and has been recognised by multiple public officials and organisations, including the Victorian Multicultural Commission, who commended his efforts in the promotion of South Asian culture and literature. His poetry has been recited at multiple community and official events, as well as on national radio to discuss both his poetry and his professorial career.
Personal life
Kaushal Srivastava was born in rural Bihar, India in 1944. Srivastava is married to his wife, Urmila, and has two children, Rajesh and Ranjana. His daughter, Ranjana, is an oncologist, author, and public speaker.
