Kathryn Borel Jr.

Kathryn Borel Jr. (born June 23, 1979) is a Canadian author and radio producer.
She was born in Toronto, Ontario, to hotelier Philippe Borel and Kathryn Blackmore Borel. After several years, she became the older sister to Nico, who was named after the family cat. She spent her early years living in hotels in Paris, Bermuda, Dallas and New Jersey, finally settling in Quebec City. When she was young, she was a tennis champion, ranking regionally in Seine-et-Marne.
In 2002 she moved to Toronto where she works at the national arts and culture program Q on CBC Radio One. She has written food and wine reviews for radio and print. Her journalism includes a column which ran in the National Post under the title Indignities. Her first book, “Corked”, was released by John Wiley & Sons in September 2009. Grand Central Books will release it in the United States in February 2010.
