Kathleen Brandenburg is an American design strategist. She is the co-founder of IA Collaborative, where she serves as the Chief Design Strategy Officer. Education Kathleen Brandenburg graduated from the IIT Institute of Design with her master's degree in 1998. Design career Brandenburg and Dan Kraemer co-founded the design and business consultancy IA Collaborative in 2000, where she serves as Chief Design Strategy Officer. Brandenburg has developed projects for clients including United Airlines, Gatorade, and Nike, companies that developed new products based upon her design research into the users of their products, using immersive research to determine what design changes could improve existing products or lead to new ones. Brandenburg has served as a Visiting Professor at the Harvard University TH Chan School of Public Health. She also worked in graphic design and interaction design. Fast Company has named Brandenburg to their "50 Most Influential Designers in America" list in 2011.
