Kate Bush and Georgian folklore

Everyone knows the famous british singer Kate Bush, but not everyone knows that in her music is present elements from Georgian folklore, which she used in the 1985 album «Hounds of Love». This is the song named «Hello Earth» from this album.

The song begins in the usual art-rock style, but when the moment comes the chorus, sounds the fragment from Georgian folk song «Tsintskaro» which repeated twice in the «Hello Earth» song.

Originally «Tsintskaro» belongs to the Kakheti region of Georgian Republic. This smallest region of the Earth has very rich polyphonic musical folklore as the other regions of Georgia. Best performer of «Tsintskaro» folk song in Georgia was famous georgian singer Hamlet Gonashvili, who tragically died in the same 1985 year when the album «Hounds of Love» was recorded.

Unfortunately there is no information on the original LP from where was taken this musical theme.
