Karen Hunter Publishing History Karen Hunter Publishing is an imprint of Gallery Books at Simon & Schuster, founded in 2007. It has published national and New York Times bestsellers by Janet Jackson, Kris Jenner and the late E. Lynn Harris, and is most known for controversial titles like Why Black Men Love White Women, Don’t Bring Home a White Boy, and Stop Being Niggardly. Karen Hunter Publishing is the brainchild of Pulitzer Prize-winner and former New York Daily News columnist Karen Hunter, who parlayed her success as bestselling author and collaborator of I Make My Own Rules by LL Cool J, Ladies First by Queen Latifah, Wendy’s Got The Heat by Wendy Williams, Al on America by Al Sharpton and On the Down Low by JL King, into a successful publishing venture. A division of Suitt-Hunter Enterprises, which specializes in television production, marketing, and brand management, Karen Hunter Publishing also features reality stars Vincent Herbert and Tamar Braxton, Shaunie O’Neal, Stevie J, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner on its roster.
