Kapileshwar

Kapileshwar is an upcoming music director in Tamil music industry. As a citizen of Canada, he was interested in music from childhood. He has received his formal music training from India and Canada. Kapileshwar is a multi talented person, who can sing, write songs and compose music.

Kapileshwar's first album was Muthal Kanavu and it was released in India with HMV Records. He also released other music albums like Ithayam Unathallava, Malare Mounama, Kadhal Niagara, Suwasam, Nesippaya, Kadhal Pesuma, and Isaipuyal.

He released his albums with South Indian's playback singers S.P.Balasubramaniam, Unnikrishnan, Unnimenon, Srinivas, Harish Ragavendra, Karthik, Haricharan, Krishnaraj, P.Susheela, S.Janaki, Sujatha, Swarnalatha, Harini, Bhavatharani Ilaiyaraja, Anuratha Sriram, Chinmayi, Raihana, Suchitra, Mahanadhi Shobana, Madhumitha, Mathangi, Mahathi, Kalyani, Binni Krishnakumar, Sangeetha Rajeswaran, and Febi Srikanth Deva.

Kapileshwar has introduced 20 new singers and 15 new song writers. In addition, he has given music to Canadian Tamil films. Such as Ullam Kavarnthavale, Kadhal Niagara, Sugam Sugame, Canadian, Kadhal Angele, Red winter, Ubashanthi and Kaatradi. His current projects are Shivaranjini, Manathodu Pesava,Thalattava, and Jeevan. In Hindi, he is working on Pyar. Kapileshwar has received mass media coverage around the world for his music.

Awards / Recognitions

• November 5, 2002: The Canadian Government had recognized his music talent and presented him with an Artist Recognition Award at Queens Park (Canada) by MPP George Smitherman.

• November 20, 2002: Vanni Kalachara Tamil Mandram, award him with a Gold Medal.

• June 21, 2003: He was invited as a special guest for Mrs. Yoga Thillainathan Kaanakkuyil 2003 which was held at Logan Hall, 20 Bradford Way, London, United Kingdom.

• July 12, 2003: He was the Guest of Honor and a lead singer for the Nadana Isai Malai held at Birmingham High Performing Arts Centre located at 1700 Haynes Street, California, United States of America.

• September 2, 2003: For the second time, he was awarded by the Canadian Government as the Best Tamil Canadian Music Director 2003.

• March 9, 2005: Toronto Mayor David Miller and Toronto City Councillor Pam McConnell has given Recognition Award for Promoting Canadian Tamil Music and Showcased it's rich Culture, Traditions and Language.

• September 19, 2005: Canadian National Defense Minister Bill Graham has given Recording Artist Award.

• February 23, 2007: Jim Karygiannis, P.C. M.P. Scarborough-Agincourt awarded Kapileshwar for his hard work in music to Canadian Film Industry as a Tamil Music Director.
