Kanpur over-bridge

This over-bridge is a part of National Highway 2. Kanpur Over-bridge consist of 25 km length in Kanpur.In Kanpur it starts from Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL),Panki and ends in CHAKERI UPSIDC INDUSTRIAL AREA in Rooman. This flyover is one of the longest road over-bridges in India.It consists mainly 4 lanes and somewhere it consists 6 lanes. Along the both side of Highway two service lanes are also provided and also many passing ways such as in World Bank Barra,Naubasta,Shyam Nagar and Ramadevi. Now also the part of NH 25 is going to be linked with this bridge in 2011 and that will make the total lengths of the over-bridge equal to 30km. The over-bridge has given huge relief to the people of Kanpur because before the construction of this bridge traffic jam was a big headache for the people living in the South Kanpur.Also the over-bridge has resulted into reduced travel time and saving of petrol and diesel for the people travelling through this highway.
