Kısmet Press is a not-for-profit open access publishing house based in Leeds, United Kingdom, specialising in research in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. It was founded in 2014 and has been active since late 2016.
Open access policy
All books published by Kısmet Press are freely available to read online without restrictions from the day they are published. The authors are not charged for publishing their work or making it open access and they retain copyright to their publications.
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology referred to Kismet Press as "the ethical academic publisher." Academic researcher Tim Barnwell of the University of Leeds School of History presented a paper about the press at the International Medieval Congress in 2017.
